# Zettelkasten for dragons Zettelkasten is a note-taking and knowledge organization system developed by Niklas Luhmann. It involves the creation of individual notes, or "zettels," that are interconnected through a unique numbering system. These zettels are used to capture and develop ideas, allowing for a flexible and interconnected network of knowledge that can be easily referenced and expanded upon. In practice, Zettelkasten becomes a efficient way of filtering through research that is relevant to the current area of study. For knowledge generalists like myself, it also becomes an inventive way to synthesize information from various disciplines, fostering a more holistic understanding of interconnected concepts. It encourages serendipitous discoveries, and promotes the cultivation of original insights. Thus making the process of learning and idea generation an exciting and novel intellectual journey.
